In a world where work-life balance is more important than ever, it can be difficult to keep employees engaged at work. But what exactly does that mean? Employees need to feel like their work matters, which means they need to feel valued and supported by their employers, especially when it comes to parenting.

This year’s Best Workplaces for Parents™ set a shining example of how companies can support working parents in a way that fosters trust, purpose, and a positive employee experience for all.

When asked what matters most in the workplace, factors such as benefits, work-life balance, and paid parental leave were top priorities to almost half a million working parents as they chose what elements play a huge role in keeping them engaged at work.

Large Company Results

The survey revealed the #1 Best Workplace was Cisco! Employees stated how they “Appreciate the flexibility that Cisco provides with getting [their] jobs done.” With over 39,000+ employees 98% agreed they were able to take PTO when necessary and 97% agreed the entire organization cares about people. Coming in behind Cisco in the #2 & #3 spots were Slalom Consulting and Hilton.

Small & Medium Company Results

In addition to the large company winners, bringing in the top positions for the small and medium size companies were #1 Greenhouse, #2 Ro & #3 Jobot. Employees agreed they receive incredible benefits; their voices are valued, and these company cultures truly live up to family-like work environments.
