Requirements
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining robust, three-statement financial models to support the CFO in annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning to drive overall strategic decision making of the firm
- Leverage programming languages and big data analytics tools to interact with large data sets, conduct actuarial analyses, and synthesize into concise summary outputs
- Participate in the development and maintenance of actuarial models to support reserving, risk adjustment, and risk management initiatives (e.g. perform estimates of incurred but not reported (IBNR) expenses)
- Build models and financial analyses to evaluate potential growth and investment opportunities; assess the risks and merits of potential new business opportunities and articulate across a cross-functional team
- Participate in corporate financings (debt and equity) and M&A transactions
- Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to develop clear, concise, and engaging investor presentations and board materials
- Prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders (publish monthly financial statements, detailed reporting of service line financial results and KPI performance, and draft the accompanying Management Discussion & Analysis)
- Coordinate with the CFO and accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Participate on the data governance committee; facilitate roll out of automated reporting by conveying business requirements for data accuracy and periodically and routinely auditing / improving upon reporting capabilities
- Collaborate with other departments to drive financial and operational excellence across the organization
- Research industry and regulatory trends in reimbursement, value-based care initiatives and competitive landscape analyses
- Perform related duties similar to the above in scope and function as required

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, or data science, required
- MBA (or MBA candidate), preferred
- Minimum three to five years of FP&A or comparable experience, required
- Minimum two years of prior health plan / managed care experience, required
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Financial modeling expertise and advanced mastery of both Excel and PowerPoint
- Data analytics expertise with substantial applied experience in the managed care or healthcare industries
- Proficiency in SQL or other programming languages; proficiency with PowerBI dashboards
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, and well organized
- Ability to convert complex financial, operational, and analytical issues into terms and concepts that are easily disseminated throughout all levels of the organization
- Great composition, grammar, and verbal communication skills

- A referenceable track record of substantial financial management and data analytics experience, including financial operations, strategic and financial planning, data-driven decision making, and capital financing in a complex environment

- Excellent judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
